Natalya Romaniw – Soprano
Popular soprano Natalya Romaniw returns to Manchester to sing alongside fellow Welsh tenor Wynne Evans for its ever popular New Year’s Eve Opera Gala.
Natalya Romaniw was born in South Wales and studies at the Guildhall School with John Evans. In 2006 Natalya won first prize in the London Welsh ‘young singer of the year’ competition and in 2008 won the Welsh Singers Competition. In 2009 she reached the final of the song prize in the prestigious BBC Cardiff Singer of the World. |

Already in demand Natalya has sung La Rondine and Giulia in La Scala di Seta for British Youth Opera and Fiordiligi Cosi fan Tutte and Arminda La Finta Giardiniera (Opera Scenes, Guildhall).
She has also covered the First Nymph in Rusalka and Anne Truelove ‘The Rake’s Progress’ for the Glyndebourne Festival. Future appearances include the title role in La Spinalba and Blanche Les Dialogues des Carmelites and the title role in Iolanta at the Guildhall, and the First Nymph Rusalka with Glyndebourne on Tour.
Natalya was the guest soloist with the Manchester Camerata for their New Year’s Concerts last year.
